Pascagoula High School Reviews

phs i a great high school. the teachers are wonderful. but some of the rules at the school concerning uniforms are just ridiculous. for example 'take your jacket off as soon as you get in the building' i mean almost every student has a very heavy backpack, can they wait until we make it to class. its not that serious.

I am so proud to say that I am an Alumni of Pascagoula High School! I loved this place with all my heart and it was my home for four years of my life! The best show choir teacher ever teaches here and her name is Mrs.Shanna Luckett and I love this woman to death! She helped me realize how much I love show choir (and choir in general)! She influenced me so much in my life and I could not think of any other teacher that walked through egg shells to get us what we needed...she is the best and I love her for it!

I just graduated from the school, and the programs at the school itself are awesome. I spent many years in the different AP programs, where the staff are truly care about their students and work to make the students acheive and become confident in the material, in a relaxed atmosphere. While the constant change of administrators was very confusing, Marty Floyd and Mrs. Jackson, i felt were the best i saw in my four years at the school. The music programs drew my attention the most, mostly because i was a member of the Pride of the Panters' Marching Band, Wind Ensemble, and Impact! Show Choir Instrumental Pit, each group acheiving awards for their excellence. The only negative to the school is the feeling that what the students where is more important than the education by the over-the-top uniform policy.

As a student of Pascagoula High School, I have a criticism. Over the past three years we have had a slew of different administrators. Each has had confusing, policy changes. Few of these changes are effective and most incur resentment from both students and teachers. Most of the teachers are excellent. Especially in the AP program it is rare to find one that doesn't really care about their students. The music department couldn't be any better in my opinion. As a member of both the marching band and varsity choir I can attest to the fact that these programs are very rewarding. Despite the lack of administrative stability, Pascagoula High School is an overall good place to spend the last few, precious years of childhood.

This school is absolutely great. The learning atmosphere is fabalous. The teachers work with students one on one, and they put in 110% everyday. The are also deticated even when the students is not. The work hard to make sure that before the end of the year that students is not only above average but has a extremely high gpa. I would recomend Mr. Anthony Hurbert and the Pascagoula High staff to anyone at anytime.
